“I had been looking for a structural engineering firm to help us with compliance for the new mandatory seismic ordinance by the city of Los Angeles.
I became intrigued by Zenith Engineering primarily because they do not provide actual seismic construction work and so there would be no conflict with providing opinions that could lead to self-serving contract work.
When I reached out to them and made my first appointment to have them review our project, they initially asked for some of the paperwork that I had. Within a few days they asked if they could come do a site visit.
Instead of one engineer coming over to look at our property, they showed up with a team of six people and did a major investigation of our building and systems. All of this without an estimate, or signing a contract, or any other contractual obligation. It has been a long time since I have seen this kind of enthusiasm and dedication of resources just to be sure they get it right, and without the safety net of a contract, just on a belief that they could earn our business.
Since then, I could not be happier with their professionalism, and the way they delivered on their contract, and the level of detail in their report that will now need to be submitted to the city of LA. I will definitely be using them on the next phase of this project, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a highly qualified team of engineers, especially having to do with the seismic ordinance now in effect in Los Angeles (or anywhere else for that matter).
